About Me

A southern belle living in yankee-ville!  Actually Missouri never picked a side, but they still talk funny here.  I'm originally from a small town in southeast Georgia about 1.5 hours inland from Savannah. We had three red lights and didn't get a Wal-Mart until a few years ago.  I grew up in a pretty large family. I'm the oldest of six kids.

Charlie and I have been together for almost six years. Dude, that's a long time. We started dating in February 2005.

HaHa! We were so young!

We decided to make it official March 27, 2010!

I've worked in higher education for the past five years, and I'm pretty sure it's what I want to do when I grow up.  I'm not exactly sure about what I want to do within higher education, though.

I'm hoping to start school again in May, so that should be interesting.

Charlie would tell you that I'm obsessed with Vampires, but that's not true.  I just have an avid interest in Vampires.  I like Twilight (yeah, I'm one of those people) and True Blood.  I've read the whole Sookie Stackhouse series.  I tried to get into Vampire Diaries and I read the first two books, but I just couldn't stick with it.  I also tried to watch the show and found it painful.

I really like to read and when I'm not spending time with Charlie, crafting, or working, that's usually what I'm doing.  I can't believe I'm about to admit this, but here it goes. I'm addicted to Twilight fan fiction.  *goes and hides*  A lot of it is smutty but the ones I read are mostly just full of heart fail.

I'm also involved with Model United Nations.  I did it once in high school, but Charlie is like the biggest MUN dork ever. We're both involved with a conference in Atlanta.  Last year was my first year on staff and I was pretty amazed at how much I enjoyed it.  I'm the Under-Secretary-General for Conference Services.  Pretty fancy, huh?  Basically I run the office end of things for the actual conference.  I make sure the computers are hooked up and working, make copies, and keep the printers running.  I have some other responsibilities, but that's the gist of things.

I guess that's all there really is to say about me. :)
